Additional information: Born in 1934, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lithuania. He is now the chief of a design studio at the Latgiprostroy Institute. Among his main projects are residential buildings end whole housing estates, a complex of public buildings in Elgava, a complex of buildings with a concert hall in Riga and the reconstruction of the Opera Theatre in Riga. He has participated in a number of competitions. He is one of the authors of the project for the Jan Rainis Art Theatre in Riga.

• Anatolij SABIROV

Additional information: Born in 1930; in 1954 he graduated from the Architecture Faculty of a Construction Institute. At present he is a chief architect at the Scientific Research Institute for Designing Standardized and Experimental Residential and Administrative Buildings in Siberia. He has made a significant contribution to the designing of projects for residential areas in the city of Novosibirsk. An incomplete list of the projects he has designed includes standardized and experimental projects for nursery schools, shopping centers and individual residential buildings of several floors. In the years 1965 - 1979 he worked on the project of building for the Young Audiences Theatre in Novosibirsk, with a seating capacity of 1000. In 1966 he participated in an international competition for the project of the National Theatre in Budapest.

Additional information: Born in 1938; he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Architecture and now works as head of the department of experimental planning at the Giproteater State Designing Institute. He is the author of a number of theatre building projects. He received a Russian Socialist Federal Soviet Republic State Prize for the project of the Drama Theatre in the city of Tula and is a laureate of international competitions for theatre projects held in Sofia, Budapest and in Belgrade. He has also published several articles end papers on the planning of theatrical buildings.

Additional information: He graduated from the Institute of Architecture in Moscow. Until 1960 he worked at Mosproyekt and since 1960 he is st the Mezetsev Institute. Among his most important projects are the Primorskoye and Neva sanatoriums and a circus building, all in Sochi, The Young Audiences Theatre in Gorki and others. Projects for which he has received first prizes include the Palace of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator, Mongolia and buildings in Bolshaya Yalta.

Additional information: Born in 1913, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lithuania. Since 1945 she has been working in various Lithuanian design institutes and also teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts and at the Acedemy of Industrial Arts. She has concentrated on varied specializations which include urban planning, the projects for summer resorts, large construction units and memorials, interior decorations, furniture and exhibitions. She has participated in many competitions and in 1959 won a competition for the project of the Jan Rainis Theatre in Riga.

He is a laureate of the Budapest National Theatre Project Competition, the winner of international competitions for the project of the People' s Opera in Sofia and The Opera Theatre in Belgrade.

He is e member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the author of a number of projects of theatrical buildings. He is a laureate of international competitions held in Sofia, Budapest and Belgrade. He has also designed the sets for a large number of theatrical productions. Professor of Moscow Architectural Institute, in 1983 awarded the 2nd prize for the Theatre in Sofia (Bulgaria). Participated in the PQ '79.
