As the Prague Quadrennial will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2007, we have chosen to organize the French exhibition around the theme of transmission. First of all, between scenographers and theatre architects for the past 40 years, but also between the old and the new generation. Handing down of tradition and sharing knowledge or new working methods being absorbed into the French tradition. That is why, this 11th Edition of the International Exhibition of Scenography and Theatre Architecture is placed under the aegis of André Acquart, whose innovative work was honoured during the first quadrennial in 1967, and who received the Gold medal at the 1983 edition.
