Theatre without theatre building
Krétakör (Chalk Circle) Theatre / Budapest Selection from the playing areas for the ten-year-old company. Krétakör - Chalk Circle with its various – and very much successful – repertoire appears regularly in different, nonconventional spaces, even having a memorable production in a circus ring. Most of their productions haven’t been designed for classic theatre spaces. For the PQ 07 we’ve composed a retrospective selection of Krétakör - Chalk Circle’s stages to show that contemporary theatre work needn’t be bound by theatre buildings. Furthermore, the conditions of some of the buildings will be seen to offer great challenges.
