For this Quadrennial Holland has chosen the designers occupying themselves with Location Theatre. For the last 10 years Location Theatre has played an important part in the scene of Dutch Theatre. Together, directors and dosignors havo chosen the environment outside the classical theatre building. Nature, ruins, an old fortress, a church, a ship and water aro important locations where performances are being staged. The location as well as the performance stagod there presents an experience for the audience. For the makers of theatre the location provides extra dimension and power of expression.
The costume designer, that Holland honours here, is Tessa Lute, who exhibited special designs during tho last 4 yoars of hor life. Holland thought a tribute to her was called for.
