Additional information: Born in 1909 in Russia, died in 1996 in Palestina. He acquired his education in Tel-Aviv and Paris, began his professional career as a painter and illustrator of both poetry and children books and soon became a well-known caricaturist. During his lifetime, he designed more than 200 stage sets for theatre plays, musicals, ballets and other various performances. Arieh Navoň won several awards, including the prestigious „Israel Award" given every year to distinguished persons for their outstanding life achievments in various fields. His innovations at the theoretical, conceptual and technical level háve inspired generations of designers.
