1999 » USA » National Exhibition - Stage and Costume Design
Curator: | Dick Durst |
United States of America
From very beginning of our conceptual conferences, the exhibition coordinators wanted to show the broad range of design in the United States. In addition to those working on Broadway and in our spectacular regional theatres.we are committed to exhibit the work of designers of the theme parks, outdoor theatre, and live performance for television, as well as more traditional theatre forms. USITT, the exhibit primary sponsor, asked that we also show the range of experience of designers working in our US theatres, so you will see the work of designers in our "World of Design" exhibit who are known throughout the world as well as those young designers whose first opportunity for world exposure is PQ '99. We are pleased to bring this range of talent to share with you.
