Additional information: Born in 1942 in Prague. Since 1979 he has been a lecturer at the Department of Stage Design at the Theatrical Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He has cooperated as a stage and costume designer with the majority of theatres both in Prague and elsewhere in the country. In 1972 at the Triennial of Stage and Costume Design in Novi Sad he received a Gold Medal for stage design (collective) and a Silver Medal for costume designs (collective). He exhibited at the PQ in 1971 and in 1975.

Additional information: Born in 1937 in Kružlovská Huť. In 1962 he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava where he studied stage design under prof. L. Vychodil. Since 1962 he works as a stage designer at the Regional Theatre in Nitra. He also collaborates with other theatres, among them the New Stage Theatre in Bratislava, The J. G. Tajovský Theatre in Zvolen, the theatre at Uherské Hradiště, The Theatre of the Slovak National Uprising in Martin and with Czechoslovak Television. He has worked as a guest designer in Bulgaria in the Yordan Yavkov Theatre in Tolbukhin and has participated in exhibitions in the USSR, Hungary, Sweden, Brazil, Cuba, Egypt, Paris, Warsaw and Berlin. He completed studies at the School of Graphic Arts and at the Arts and Crafts College in Prague /special line of monumental painting under prof. F. Kysela/. Predominantly he works as commercial artist and book illustrator, and collaborates with the puppet and animated film. To his significant theatrical works belong the designs for The War and for The Opera of the Country Fair in E. F. Burian's production, for The Defeat at the Tyl Theatre in Prague, for Dalskabáty at the Central Theatre of the Czechoslovak Army in Prague, for the ballet Faust at the Smetana Theatre, The Firebird, The Talkative Slug and for the Mother Courage at the National Theatre in Prague. Additional information: Born in 1927 in Prague. Graduated from the Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts, the scenographic class of prof. Fr. Tröster. Since 1950 he acts as décor chief of the State Theatre in Ostrava. He realized there sets for dramas, opéras, operettas and also for ballets, collaborating within the recent years predominantly with the stage directors R. Koval, M. Nekvasil and V. Hamšík. To his most important designs belong the stage sets for Richard III, After the Fall, Médea, Saint Joan, Julius Caesar, The Seagull and The Shrewd. He took part in a number of exhibitions at home and abroad. As co-author he has participated in the publication Richard III, an analysis of the staging at the State Theatre in Ostrava. Additional information: Born in 1930 in Zvolen. Studied the special line of architecture at the Slovak Technical College and stage design at the College of Musical and Dramatic Arts under prof. L. Vychodil where he completed studies in 1955. After having graduated he started work at the J. Záborský Theatre in Prešov, since 1956 he has been engaged by the New Scene in Bratislava where he is working up to this date. He co-operates as an ex-staff member with a number of Slovak theatres and with the Czechoslovak Television. His most important designs include the stage sets to tbe Periphery by Langer, Mamzelle Nitouche by Hervé, Hello, Dolly! by Stewart-Herman, The Threepenny Opera by Brecht, and from among the most recent ones The Emperoťs New Habiliments by Beneš, the West Side Story by Bernstein, The Karamasoff Brothers by Dostojevsky, The Lark by Anouilh. He acts as expert assistant of the Chair of scenic design under prof. L. Vychodil at the College of Musical and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava. He has participated in a number of scenic design exhibitions at home and abroad such as the Biennial In Sao Paulo in 1965, the exhibition of Slovák scenography in the Paris Odeon Theatre, the exhibitions of stage and costume design in the USA, ín Vienna, Leningrad, Havana, Cairo, Budapest, Paris, Chicago and in Warsaw.

Additional information: Born in 1912 in Prague. In 1935 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts; between 1939 and January 1978 he was the chief stage designer of the Municipal Theatres of Prague. He has designed more than 400 stage sets and costumes, the most important of which are Tyl' s The Shoemakers' Fair, Shaw' s Androcles and the Lion and a number of Shakespearean productions. He often works as a specialized costume designer and is the foremost representative of this specialization in our theatres /Jeppe of the Hill, The Pretenders, The Lentern/. He has colleborated also with a number of domestic and foreign theatres and often elso with films and television. In 1962 he received the title of Artist of Merit for his life-long contribution to the theatre. He has exhibited in a number of collective, as well as one-men exhibitions. At the Biennial in Sao Paulo in 1961 he represented Czechoslovak costume designs, he also participated in the Prague Quadrennial in 1967, in 1971 /where he received a Silver Medal for costume designs/ and in 1975. He most recent one-man exhibition was held in Prague in 1974.

Additional information: Born in 1911 in Vienna. Studied architecture at the Arts and Crafts School (prof. O. Strnad) and at the Academy of Fine Arts (prof. Cl. Holzmeister) in Vienna; he completed his studies in 1935. Between 1938 and 1944 he co-operated in architect Víšek's studio on the project of a Czech national theatre in Brno. Since 1945 professor at the Arts and Crafts School in Brno, since 1950 he lectures externally at the Janáček's Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts in Brno. Since 1937 he has altogether designed 225 stage sets for various theatres at home and abroad, in 1956 he took part in the competition referring to the opera project in Sydney. His most important stage designs of the recent years: The Good Woman of Setzuan by B. Brecht (Oldřich Stibor Theatre in Olomouc, 1959), Snow-White by N. Rimsky-Korsakov (at the same theatre, 1961), Greek Passion by B. Martinů (Janáček's Opera in Brno, 1962), Undine by A. Additional information: Born in 1933 at Bytča. In 1959 he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava where he studied stage design under prof. Vychodil. Since 1961 he has been working as a stage designer at the Jonáš Záborský Theatre in Prešov. He has also collaborated with theatres in Olomouc, Košice, and the Ukranian National Theatre in Prešov. In 1973 he received a Prize of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR for his designs for a production of the Potter's Ball at the State Operetta Theatre in Kiev. At a festival of amateur theatrical ensembles in Yugoslavia he received the First Prize for his staging of Mroźek's The Cops. He has participated in all exhibitions organized by the Union of Slovak Artists. He has also participated in the Prague Quadrennial in 1975.

In the years 1962-1965 she studied at the Theatrical Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she specialized in stage design; in the years 1965-1967 she studied at the same school, at the department of puppetry. Muzika; he specialized in the field of book design and poster design. He is also a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in West Berlin. He has designed costumes for the E. F.Burian Theatre in Prague and for theatres in Kolín, Ostrava, Plzeň, Zvolen, Báňská Bystrica and Ústí nad Labem. He has also worked for theatres in the GDR /Wittenberg-Lutherstadt, Dresden/ and in Finland /Vaassa/.

Additional information: Born in 1925 in Štítník. He studied under prof. Pirchan in Vienna. Since 1945 he was at the State Theatre in Košice as Head of Design. He has designed sets for drama, opera and ballet productions and also collaborates with Czechoslovak Television. Among his foremost designs are the sets for Chekhov' s The Three Sisters, Schiller' s Don Carlos, Gogol' s The Marriage, Dostoevski' s Crime and Punishment, Pogodin' s Third - Pathetic, Prokofiev' s Tale of the Stone Flower, Ibsen' s The Lady from the Sea, Smrčka' s Prince Rastic and Bukovčan' s The Ostrich Party. The Union of Slovak Artists has organized two of his one-man exhibitions, in 1971 in the East Slovakia Gallery in Košice and in 1975 in the Exhibition Hall in Bratislava. He has also participated in collective exhibitions held in Košice and Bratislava, and in mobile exhibition abroad and in the Prague Quadrennial in 1975.

After graduation from the Textiles Technical School in Brno between the years 1964-1971 she studied at the Academy of Industrial Design in Prague, where she specialized in costume designing. Additional information: In 1960 he graduated from the Industrial Design Secondary School in Prague, where he specialized in commercial art. Between 1961-1964 he worked as a stage designer at the Vítězslav Nezval Theatre in Karlovy Vary, between 1967 and 1971 at the J. G. Tajovský Theatre in Zvolen. Since 1971 he is the chief stage designer at the Regional Theatre in Kolín and collaborates with theatres in Gottwaldov, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Pardubice and Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava. He also regularly works as guest designer at the Elbe-Elster-Theatre in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg in the German Democratic Republic, for which he designed, among others, the stage sets for Brecht's Don Juan, directed by J. Chundela. He has also collaborated with the theatre in Vaassa in Finland on
a production of Janáček's Jenufa directed by I. Hylas. Among his most important stage designs are the sets for Daněk's Two on Horseback, One On a Donkey, Moliére's The Miser and Ostrovski's The Forest. He is also active as a painter and graphic artist.
Additional information: Born m 1913 in Pardubice, in 1938 ne graduated from the College of Architecture and Overground Workings ln Prague. Since then he collaborates with the theatre Východočeské divadlo in Pardubice externally. Since 1942 he was décor chief at the theatre at Kladno, since 1945 at the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, and from 1950 up to now he holds this function at the Oldřich Stibor Theatre in Olomouc. He collaborates with almost all the Czechoslovak theatres. Abroad he has brought into efíect stage sets for the Comic Opera in Berlin and for Bayreuth. He is the author of some 500 décors. Apart from that he makes projects of exhibitions and interiors (recently the interiors of the Musical Theatre in Olomouc). Since 1950 he is the holder of the Dinstiction for Prominent Work.
