Additional information: Born 1941 in Rio de Janeiro, stage designer, professor of the Musée ďArt Moderne. From 1963—1966 studied with prof. arch. Josef Svoboda in Prague; assistant stage designer with the Berliner Ensemble, the Deutsches Theater and the Berlin Opera. Noteworthy among his scenic designs are sets for The Trojan Women ([Euripides-Sartre), Salomé (O. Wilde), The Night of Murderers (J. Triana), Celestina (F. Rojas), Antigoně (Sophocles), The Balcony (Gênet). He participated in the Exhibition of Brasilian Painting in New York (1967), in the exhibition Resumo JB at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro (1969), the Xth Biennial in Sao Paolo (1969) and had several one-man exhibi- tions. He was awarded the Prix Gouverneur de l´Etat de Sao Paolo in 1967, the Prix Moliēre in 1967 and 1969, and the Gold Medal of the Xth Biennial in Sao Paolo in 1969.
