W. Shakespeare's dramas inscenations

This section has an international character. It is not a competition of the various national exhibits as in the case of the stage design and costume design sections, but rather of individual authors and contingently creative teams. The purpose of this section is to assemble complex material to the production of one drama by W. Shakespeare — and to furnish proof that the work of theatrical artists is of a synthetic nature. This viewpoint, which should be stressed particularly at this time when stage work is being disintegrated into individual and independent sections — which is certainly detrimental to the work — must foe documented as a complex: designs of sets and costumes for the entire staging and only for the various scenes — introductory studies and variations, the stage director's manual, studies of the arrangements, models of the scenes, photographs, or slides of the production, technical designs, records of the layouts, samples of new technical elements, etc. Foreign as well as Czechoslovak artists compete in this section. The international jury will award a gold medal for the best author, contingently for the best creative team.
