Massimo Furlan often works from his childhood memories, as an Italian child born in Switzerland in the 1960s. He reaches out to the collective psyche, the memory of a whole generation, by combining images and performance, burlesque and philosophy, poetics and popular esthetics. He recalls models, dreams, and anecdotes from his childhood and adolescence and develops a language that addresses the question of memory, through popular culture.
