A symbolic bottle of ‘Soldado de Chocolate’, a local soft drink in Mérida, Yucatán that recently disappeared following an unsuccessful strike by the workers of the Sidra Pino Company.

Additional information: Since 2008, Rath has founded and runs Murmurante theatre group, which produces shows with a distinctly interdisciplinary approach to social problems in Yucatán. In 2014 he presented 'Sidra Pino, Vestiges of a Serie' with Jorge Vargas as the co-director.

  Comments: A bottle on a box of Sidra Pino. The text of one minute in length tells the story of a mestiza woman from Yucatán who wanted to drink sidra pino. It's an oral tale. "I drink Pino Cider because when I finish drinking, I enjoy burping because Sidra Pino leaves a delicious fragrance in the mouth. And even if you burp, it leaves a delicious aroma."
• Gabriel Pareyón Enid Negrete (Gabriel Pareyon Enid Negrete)

Education: Pareyón has a PhD in Philosophy and Musicology from the University of Helsinki and Negrete has a PhD in Performing Arts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona
Collaboration with theatres: Negrete has worked continuously for the La Scala Theatre Milan, Italy, the Royal Opera House, London, England, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, Spain, the Hungarian State Opera House, Budapest, Hungary and the Banff Centre for the Arts, Canada.
Teaching activities: Pareyón's teaching activities include: Professor of the School of Music, CUAAD- University Center of Art, Architecture and Design, University of Guadalajara. Negrete has worked in more than 50 professional productions. He also experiments with traditional Mexican instruments and the metre and phonetics of the Nahuatl and Hñähñu languages. His music also combines wider aspects of linguistics, human speech and mathematical models. Enid Negrete is a Mexican opera producer, critic and researcher. She has worked in more than 50 opera, theatre and dance professional productions in Mexico, Spain, France, the USA and Canada.

  Comments: Xochicuicatl Cuecuechtli, Opera Náhuatl presents the metlalt and metlapilli, stones used for the hand-grinding of corn in traditional mexican cuisine. Here they are used as a musical instrument. This opera recalls the ancestral corn culture of Mexico, which has been forgotten.
