Kleio cinema transformed into a theatre hall
The space of an old underground cinema on Thessaloniki’s Egnatia street was transformed into a basic teaching class that covers the needs of Acting, Directing, Movement and Scenography courses. More specifically, the variability of the theatre was the basic aim of the space’s design, mindful of the events that take place within it. A hall-studio with folding seats was the result, offering the basic necessities for such a fluctuating space, with all the corresponding technical support. Plans and photos of the space will be presented to demonstrate its usage. Three dimensional models of the space are also exhibited, apart from the plans and the photos, presenting the way it is being utilized by the scenography students.
Other Collaborators: Konstantina Evaggelou The project was realised for the Drama Department courses.
